Two postdoctoral and 1 technician 3-year positions are available at the Poxvirus and Vaccines Laboratory (CNB-CSIC) (PI: Juan García Arriaza) to work in the development of novel vaccine candidates against viruses with epidemic and pandemic potential.  As a model system for the expression of genes of interest we use the modified vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA) strain, a member of the poxvirus family. Se ofrece contrato para Personal Investigador, en el Centro Nacional de Biotecnología-(CNB-CSIC), para trabajar en el proyecto “Papel de proteínas celulares en la replicación y patogénesis del virus de la gripe y de SARS-CoV-2”, en el grupo de Marta López de Diego

Duración del contrato: 18 meses, jornada completa.

Fecha prevista de iniciación: noviembre-diciembre de 2023.

Descripción de las tareas a realizar: Diseño, realización e interpretación de experimentos con el objetivo de determinar el papel de proteínas celulares en la replicación del virus de la gripe y SARS-CoV-2, así como en la patogénesis inducida por estos virus. Los experimentos se realizarán en cultivos celulares y en ratones de experimentación. Escritura de artículos científicos describiendo los resultados obtenidos.

Requisitos: Licenciatura en biología, bioquímica, biotecnología, veterinaria, farmacia o similar

The Molecular Infection Biology laboratory run by Daniel López at the CNB (Madrid, Spain) is looking for 3 postdoctoral researchers (4 years contract). This laboratory specializes in molecular and cellular microbiology applied to infections. The research project focuses on characterizing the functional membrane microdomains (FMM) of the multi-drug resistant human pathogen MRSA, their role in regulating antibiotic resistance and the development of anti-FMM molecules capable of abrogating multi-drug resistant infections.

Expresiones de Interes para la contratación de personal investigador predoctoral en formación

La Comunidad de Madrid ha anunciado la próxima publicación de una convocatoria de ayudas para contratar a personal investigador predoctoral. Cuando se publique la convocatoria en el BOCM habrá 15 días hábiles para presentar candidatos/as. Por este motivo, a continuacion detallamos los grupos del CNB interesados en contactar con personas que quieran solicitar estos contratos.


El grupo Patógenos Bacterianos Intracelulares, dirigido por Francisco García del Portillo, trabaja en la función del peptidoglicano de la pared bacteriana de Salmonella. Más infomación aquí.

El grupo de Modelos animales por modificación genética, dirigido por Lluís Montoliu, trabaja en la optimización y validación de sistemas CRISPR-Cas como herramientas de edición genética, y en la investigación en enfermedades raras, como el albinismo. Contamos con financiación del Plan Nacional, del CIBER de Enfermedades Raras y de la Fundación Ramón Areces, además de participar en varios consorcios europeos. Más información aquí. El grupo de Dra. Esther Ortega en el Dpto de Estructura de Macromoléculas se centra en el estudio de complejos proteicos que interactúan con DNA y con híbridos DNA:RNA, con el objetivo de determinar cuáles son los mecanismos moleculares de su función y su implicación en condiciones de estrés replicativo en eucariotas. CONTRATO PREDOCTORAL de cuatro años de duración

El grupo de Carlos Ardavín busca candidatos/as para solicitar un contrato predoctoral FPI asociado al proyecto: Función de los macrófagos peritoneales en la implantación de metástasis de tumores colorrectales en el omento: base inmunológica para el desarrollo de inmunoterapia frente a metastasis de cancer colorrectal basada en la reprogramación de los macrófagos (PID2021-122748OB-I00). El grupo de Fernando Rojo busca candidatos/as para solicitar un contrato predoctoral FPI, de cara a la realización de una tesis doctoral dentro del proyecto PID2021-122230NB-I00 (MICIN/AEI), para trabajar en aspectos moleculares de la regulación de la expresión génica en la bacteria Pseudomonas putida. CONTRATO PREDOCTORAL o POSTDOCTORAL de cuatro años de duración para colaborar en el desarrollo de un proyecto sobre “Bases moleculares de la patogenicidad de coronavirus humanos”. El trabajo específico para el que se dota el contrato se centrará en el estudio de la interacción virus-hospedador, respuesta inmune innata y mecanismos de protección.

Se ha publicado en la sede electrónica del CSIC la apertura de la convocatoria GARANTÍA JUVENIL CAM 2021 en la que se ofertan un total de 50 contratos (3 de ellos para el CNB) para TÉCNICOS DE LABORATORIO Y AYUDANTES DE INVESTIGACIÓN dirigidos a jóvenes no ocupados, que cumplan los requisitos de edad y que no cursen estudios ni formación, disponiendo los interesados en participar en el proceso selectivo, de un plazo de 10 días hábiles para presentar sus solicitudes (del 13 al 26 de septiembre, ambos inclusive).

Buscamos un candidato/a para un contrato de titulado superior en el Servicio de Bioseguridad. Se requiere experiencia en bioseguridad, como usuario de instalaciones de contención biológica y/o experiencia en cultivos celulares y técnicas básicas de virología. CERRADO

Posibilidades de contratación de personal técnico de apoyo (PTA)

La finalidad de estas ayudas del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (B.O.E. del 15 de diciembre de 2021) es incentivar la contratación laboral de personal técnico de apoyo, por un periodo de tres años, en Centros de I+D, destinados al manejo de equipos, instalaciones y demás infraestructuras de I+D+i (Servicios científicos) a fin de incrementar y mejorar las prestaciones y rendimiento de las infraestructuras científico-tecnológicas. No se concederán ayudas para cofinanciar la contratación de personas para las técnicas experimentales propias de grupos de investigación que únicamente sirvan a los intereses de estos. Cada participante sólo podrá ser presentado en la solicitud de un único Centro de I+D. Asimismo, los Centros de I+D sólo podrán presentar a una única persona por cada plaza para la que se solicita ayuda de contratación.

- Titulación de grado o licenciatura en Informática, Biología Molecular, Biotecnología o similar
- Experiencia en análisis bioinformático de datos procedentes de secuenciación masiva

- Experiencia en programación en, al menos, dos de los siguientes lenguajes: R, BASH, PHP, Python, JavaScript
- Se valorará la participación en el desarrollo de herramientas bioinformáticas, las publicaciones y las comunicaciones científicas.
