The facility contains three BSL 3 sub-laboratories that are equipped with the necessary facilities to safely handle high-risk pathogens, including a staff changing room and shower and a steam steriliser, airlock, material pass-through box, an effluent treatment plant, data transmission network and remote alarm systems.

Research equipment includes class IIA biosafety cabinets, CO2 incubators for cell cultures, microbiological incubator, fluorescence microscopes, ultracentrifuge, refrigerated centrifuges and microfuges, ultrafreezers, etc.

The CNB radioactive facility is equipped with all the necessary shielding, containment and detection systems for ionising radiation.
Research equipment: gamma irradiator, beta and gamma radioisotope cabinets, class IIA biosafety cabinets, CO2 incubators for cell cultures, centrifuge and microfuge, inverted optical microscope and others.
