El CNB participó en Farmaforum 2015

En el marco del Foro de la industria farmacéutica, biofarmacéutica, cosmética y tecnología de laboratorios FARMAFORUM, la Fundación Madri+d organizó, los días 4 y 5 de Marzo unas Jornadas de Encuentros Bilaterales para la Transferencia de Tecnología en Ciencias de la Vida en las que participó el CNB.

Farmaforum 2015Los objetivos de la participación fueron promocionar las capacidades del CNB entre las industrias del sector, así como comercializar las patentes en el área de ciencias de la vida. En concreto, el CNB promocionó las siguientes Ofertas:

Actividades Previas

Se creó un perfil en la aplicación Web creada por la Organización para tal fin. El perfil se centró en las patentes del CNB en al área de Ciencias de la vida. A continuación se recibieron solicitudes de reunión de distintas empresas. Asimismo, se solicitaron reuniones con empresas que podrían ser potencialmente interesantes para promocionar las Ofertas del CNB. Se solicitaron 6 reuniones y se recibieron 2 solicitudes de reunión para dar un total de 8 reuniones con empresas. El día previo, la organización envió la agenda donde se establecían 8 reuniones con una duración máxima de 30 min/c.u.

Resultados

Se mantuvieron reuniones con 7 empresas/universidades.

Bionanoplus

Contacto: Ricardo Palacios, Director de Desarrollo de negocio.

Es una empresa de Navarra con 4 años de trayectoria, y que cuenta con 9 personas. Se dedica a nanopartículas poliméricas con dos aplicaciones. Por un lado, para encapsular moléculas y antígenos que no son solubles en agua, y por otro lado, para vacunas. Las nanopartículas poliméricas tienen un efecto adyuvante sobre todo en vacunas mucosales, aumentan además la vida media porque la liberación es controlada. Interesados en desarrollo de nuevas vacunas utilizando su tecnología, sobre todo en el campo de veterinaria y para enferm,edades bacterianas.

Muestra interés por conocer las capacidades del CNB en cuanto a modelos animales con los que trabajamos y principales líneas de trabajo.

Protein Alternatives (ProAlt)

ProAlt es una empresa biotecnológica focalizada en el desarrollo y comercialización de ensayos basados en biomarcadores para el diagnóstico del cáncer y el manejo clínico de la enfermedad. Tienen un test para screeneing de cáncer colorectal tipo ELISA que está en proceso de validación y esperan que llegue al mercado en vernao de 2015. Además, están desarrollando otro producto para el diagnóstico de glioblastoma.

La compañía también ofrece productos propios innovadores, como proteínas recombinantes y anticuerpos, y diferentes servicios a medida del cliente para el diseño y expresión de proteínas y/o anticuerpos de interés. Muestra interés por el nanobody frente al fibrinógeno y por otros posibles anticuerpos o proteínas que disponga para comercializar el CNB.

Proporciona el contacto de Ximbio, Hugh Spotswood, empresa del Reino Unido que comercializa anticuerpos, proteínas recombinantes, modelos animales, plásmidos, etc. “Ximbio is an online portal for the life science community to exchange knowledge and trade reagents. Developed to change the way that research reagents are searched, sourced and shared, Ximbio aims to broaden the range of tools available to scientists globally, supporting and advancing life science research”.

Myriad Genetics

Felis Iglesias no pudo acudir a la reunión.

Myriad genetics es una de las primeras empresas de genómica, desarrolla productos de diagnóstico molecular. En 2011 adquirió Rules-Based Medicine, con capacidad de desarrollar inmunoensayos multiplex. En 2012 han abierto un laboratorio en Munich.

Fundación Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (OTRI)

Se habló con ella para retomar la posible licencia de un software de análisis de la calidad del esperma desarrollado por investigadores del CNB-CSIC y la UAM.

Ibersens

Contacto: Arantzazu González García, Directora técnica

Es una empresa fundada en 2014. Los fundadores provienen del Grupo de Biosensores de la Univwersidad de Alcalá. Tienen patentado un soporte para inmunosensores que es multiplex. El usuario solo pone la muestra y el sustrato de revelado.

Muestran interés por el anticuerpo R5 de detección del gluten del CNB. Quieren saber si es posible licenciarlo para su formato de kit y si podrían probarlo en su sensor.

Grifols Engineering

Grifols engineering se dedican a la puetsa a punto de plantas de fabricación de productos biológicos, y a la venta de maquinaria para la industria bioetch. No hay muchas posibilidades de colaboración con el CNB.

Anaxomics

Contacto: Mireia Coma, Directora de desarrollo de negocio.

Anaxomics es una empresa de servicios de biología de sistemas. Creada en 2007 y con oficinas en Barcelona. Han desarrollado una tecnología llamada TPMS (Therapeutic Perfomance Mapping System): Crea modelos matemáticos que integran todo el conocimiento disponible en cuanto a biología, clínica, omics, farmacología, etc para estimular el desarrollo de fármacos. Utilizando la información disponible en cuanto a un fármaco y las enfermedades, realizan un mapa de dianas y efectores, y a través de modelos matemáticos y estudio de la información manual llegan a unas conclusiones biológicas y clínicas. Por ej, sus servicios sirven de apoyo a los investigadores para seleccionar determinadas proteínas de experimentos de proteómica o de deep sequencing, o miRNAs, etc.

Se les presentó el Programa de Biología de Sistemas del CNB.

3P Biopharmaceuticals
