Career in Research for Undergraduate & Master students (CaRe for Uni)
Training of future generations of scientists and technologists is a priority at the CNB from the beggining of the scientific career.
We continue attracting young people who wish to pursue a scientific career. Undergraduate and master’s students from Spanish and international universities, short-term trainees and visiting scientists chose the CNB for its outstanding biotechnology research and training opportunities.
We have already celebrated 10th editions of the “CNB bootcamp on introduction to research” for undergraduate students. In collaboration with the CSIC and funding from the Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence Program, we offered fellowships to attract brilliant master students.

How to apply for internships (University students only)
The CNB is a multidisciplinary research centre that belongs to the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). In order to carry out external university internships, an educational collaboration agreement between the two institutions (University-CSIC) is required. You can check CSIC-Universities current agreements here.
For those students interested in doing external curricular internships, the Bachelor Degree´s Final Project or the Master’s Final Project at the CNB, the recommendation is to contact the researchers of your interest with a letter of motivation, CV and academic record to find out if they are available to host students for the internships.
On the CNB website you will find information on all the research groups at the centre that are eligible for external curricular placements.
*These recommendations apply to students from Spanish universities or from within the European Union. In order to receive non-EU students (from outside the European Union), a visa is also required to allow them to travel and stay in the country for the necessary time.
