CAreer in REsearch  for Postdocs

The Postdoctoral scientists’ community is an important group for the science at CNB. Around 20% of our personnel are postdoctoral researchers, a task force that drives the excellence of our research and participate in the training of younger students.

At the end of 2022 we launched a new Postdoctoral Researchers Committee to improve their structure, visibility and involvement in CNB´s scientific activities.

In collaboration with the CNB Training Committee, they are working on the implementation of a specific Postdoctoral Training Program to enhance the career development of the scientists at this stage including soft-skills, professional career and complementary training.

2024-2025. Career Opportunities in Science: To Academy and Beyond, 2nd edition

This year, we will focus on soft-skills, alternative careers and complementary formation through  a series of thematic talks/short-workshops.

17-9-24. “Succeed in your Funding Applications” Workshop

To celebrate the International Postdoc Week, the CNB will hold the second CNB Postdoctoral Researchers Workshop on September 17. This year, the workshop titled “Succeed in your Funding Applications”, will have two speakers who will explain to us the funding options and the evaluation process at this stage of the Scientific career.

To finish the event, we will celebrate a round table discussing the first steps to consolidate a scientific career with four CNB young researchers.

​19-9-2023. First Postdoctoral Researchers Workshop

To celebrate the International Postdoc Week, next 19th of September 2023 the CNB will host the first CNB Posdoctoral Researchers Workshop. Six researchers from the institutute will talk about their  different paths and opportunities in scientífic career. We will also held a round table with a group of researchers who joined international postdoc associations and how that inluenced their career.
