Project: Enhancing Production of High Value Pharmacological Metabolites Using Synthetic Biology.
Description of Work
The research project aims to design a robust process to enhance the productivity of polyketide and non ribosomal peptide (PK/compounds with antitumor and antiviral properties using a DBTL ( Build, Test, and Learn) workflow .
The main tasks include the heterologous expression of target metabolic pathways and their subsequent performance optimization through advanced synthetic biology approaches in Pseudomonas putida. The project will leverage combinatorial pathway assembly and AI/ML driven host optimization
The candidate will carry out a competitive research project in the field of Systems Metabolic Engineering under Synthetic Biology framework. Predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
– MS or PhD in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Biotechnology or similar
– Experience in bacterial physiology and metabolism, knowledge of molecular biology and bioinformatics will be highly valued
This is a 3 year contract Salary will be based on experience, following CSIC standards
