Juan F Poyatos. At the age of four, Juan decided to study the two theories that we understand less: Quantum Mechanics and Evolution. Well, not literally at that age, but it is true, though, that he decided first to learn some quantum mechanics (Ph.D. in Quantum Computation) to later examine a different class of computations, those made by Biological Systems. Note that he does not claim to have understood either of them.
Alicia Lou. Alicia is a PhD student who obtained her degree in Physics at the University of Zaragoza. She also completed a master's degree in Biophysics in Madrid. Her research is primarily focused on the genotype-phenotype map, but sometimes she also has fun taking care of some microscopic worms to which she gives a lot of love. Apart from her work in the lab, Alicia has a creative side and enjoys painting cute and colorful creatures. Who knows, maybe one day she'll discover a way to bring her painted animals to life using some mad scientist skills!
Alvar Alonso. Alvar is a PhD student with a degree in biology and a master's degree in Biophysics. He wants to use interdisciplinary tools to study the way time is involved in biological phenomena at all informational and structural levels, with an emphasis in senescence. When he is not in the lab, he fancies participating in divulgation projects and cooking suspiciously looking experimental food.
Pablo Yubero. Pablo recently finished his thesis at LoGS on trade-offs in the architecture and predictability of complex phenotypes and currently enjoys a well-deserved position as a LoGS dilettante. He can be found amusing his neighbours playing some nice, swingin' trumpet tunes at home.
Current Master Students: Maialen Zabala.
